Near-Clear Appearance
At 70% VLT, VS 70 SR CDF is virtually indistinguishable from untreated glass — the right call for historic commissions, condo boards, and design-controlled Philadelphia facades.
VS 70 SR CDF sits at the lightest end of the Vista SpectraSelect family, designed for situations where visible tint is simply not an option. At 70% visible light transmission, it reads as nearly clear glass from any angle — yet its non-metallized spectrally selective construction still intercepts infrared heat before it enters the building. For projects where a historic commission, condo board, or corporate design standard demands glass that looks untouched, VS 70 is the film that threads that needle.
In Philadelphia's built environment, that matters on specific building types more than others. Society Hill and Old City townhomes with divided-lite sash windows, Rittenhouse Square condominium facades where HOA design rules prohibit any perceptible tint, and University City campus buildings with contemporary glazing systems that need to maintain an institutional clean look are all candidates. VS 70 lets those properties address afternoon solar gain without surfacing a visible product decision every time someone walks past the building.
The spectrally selective construction means VS 70 targets near-infrared radiation — the heat-carrying wavelengths — rather than blocking visible light indiscriminately. That gives it meaningful solar performance at a VLT level where traditional reflective or neutral films would offer little protection. UV blocking exceeds 99%, which provides the fade and skin protection benefit regardless of how light the tint reads.
Choose VS 70 when appearance constraints are the primary driver and modest solar control is enough. VS 61 and VS 60 step into progressively firmer heat rejection at slightly lower VLT, and V 58 or V 45 add visible tint for spaces that can accommodate it. VS 70 is the Vista film for projects where the answer to 'will anyone notice?' must be no.
At 70% VLT, VS 70 SR CDF is virtually indistinguishable from untreated glass — the right call for historic commissions, condo boards, and design-controlled Philadelphia facades.
Spectrally selective construction targets infrared heat without a metallized layer, so Wi-Fi, cellular, and building automation signals pass through unaffected.
Over 99% UV block protects furnishings, flooring, and artwork in Society Hill rowhomes and Rittenhouse Square residences without any perceptible change to window appearance.
