Martin Faith was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland — a city shaped by the Glasgow School of Art and a deep tradition of glasswork. He learned the craft of stained glass from an early age: collecting, restoring, and fabricating original pieces using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
In 1991, Martin moved to Colorado and was surprised that American homes were not utilizing stained glass the way European homes did. He founded Scottish Stained Glass in 1993, which grew into one of the largest custom stained glass studios in the United States. Working with glass — understanding how light, heat, and material interact — became the foundation for everything that followed.
That foundation led to window film. The same principles that make stained glass beautiful and functional — controlling light, managing heat, protecting what is inside — are what make window film effective. Martin saw the connection before most of the industry did.

In 2008, Martin installed energy-efficient window film on his own home and tracked the results. What he saw convinced him to start a window film company — not from a spreadsheet, but from a real electricity bill on a real house.
