Solar Control
V 45 SR CDF - Neutral at 45% VLT reduces heat and glare on Philadelphia glass while keeping the finished appearance appropriate to its series.
V 45 SR CDF - Neutral is the middle ground of the Vista SpectraSelect neutral lineup. Its 45% visible light transmission creates a noticeable solar-control finish, but the look remains quiet and architectural rather than shiny or dark. For many Philadelphia commercial projects, it is the point where comfort, glare reduction, and facade restraint line up cleanly.
This film fits University City lab buildings, Center City office towers, institutional suites, and conference rooms where large glass areas bring heat and screen glare into the workday. It can also make sense for residential towers near Rittenhouse Square or Logan Square when occupants want a more comfortable room without making the windows read as heavy privacy glass from outside. It is also a practical sample for tenant improvement projects, because the change is visible enough to evaluate without overwhelming the existing design.
Technically, V 45 combines 45% VLT with up to 61% heat rejection and over 99% UV block. The neutral tone helps avoid the color shift that can happen with bronze or strongly gray films, while the spectrally selective construction improves comfort without relying on metal. Expect a clear reduction in brightness compared with V 58, but still enough daylight for offices, labs, and living spaces that depend on natural light.
Choose V 45 when the lightest SpectraSelect products are too subtle and the 33% films would feel too dark or privacy-oriented. V 58 is softer; V 33 SR adds stronger glare control; V 33 BR adds warmth. V 45 is the practical midrange specification for Philadelphia glass that needs performance but still has to look refined.
V 45 SR CDF - Neutral at 45% VLT reduces heat and glare on Philadelphia glass while keeping the finished appearance appropriate to its series.
Over 99% UV blocking helps protect flooring, artwork, merchandise, and furnishings in sunny rowhomes, offices, and retail rooms.
The spectraselect profile gives specifiers a clear choice between daylight, privacy, reflectance, and neighborhood review constraints.
