Solar Control
Ceramic 55 SR PS at 55% VLT reduces heat and glare on Philadelphia glass while keeping the finished appearance appropriate to its series.
Ceramic 55 SR PS is the balanced specification in Vista's ceramic range. It keeps a clear, neutral appearance while dropping enough visible light to improve comfort and reduce glare. For many commercial projects, 55% VLT is the useful middle point: bright enough for daylighting goals, but not so clear that the solar-control benefit feels too modest.
This film fits Center City Class A offices, University City institutional buildings, LEED-oriented renovations, and floor-to-ceiling glass where documentation matters. The VLT level is easy to explain in submittals, and the non-metallized ceramic construction suits buildings with dense wireless use, access-control systems, and tenants who cannot trade connectivity for heat rejection. It is also easy to compare during mockups because the room still feels bright, while occupants can usually see the glare and heat difference quickly. It is a practical product to document because its daylight level, heat rejection, and UV performance are all easy for owners and design teams to understand.
The performance profile lists 55% VLT, up to 55% heat rejection, and over 99% UV block. Ceramic particles manage solar energy without a reflective metal layer, so the exterior look remains controlled and the interior color stays neutral. The film also blocks UV that contributes to fading of flooring, furnishings, merchandise, and artwork.
Choose Ceramic 55 when Ceramic 65 is too light for the exposure but Ceramic 45 feels more tinted than the space needs. It is the dependable middle choice for Philadelphia offices and institutional projects: enough heat control to matter, enough daylight to keep interiors productive, and a clean appearance that works across modern curtain wall and renovated older buildings.

The spectraselect profile gives specifiers a clear choice between daylight, privacy, reflectance, and neighborhood review constraints.
