About V-KOOL 70
V-KOOL 70 (VK70) is the flagship of the V-Kool architectural film series and the most widely specified product in the lineup. It uses V-Kool's proprietary XIR® multi-layer sputtered technology to deliver 55% total solar energy rejection and 94% infrared rejection while transmitting 70% of visible light — a near-clear appearance at a level of solar performance that few films can match at any VLT.
The specification history tells its own story. The American Institute of Architects headquarters in Washington D.C. evaluated multiple window film brands and selected VK70. The Guggenheim Museum in New York integrated V-Kool film into its skylight retrofit to preserve daylight while reducing solar gain and UV exposure on priceless artwork. Exxon specified VK70 for new stores facing high solar load.
