About V-KOOL 55
V-KOOL 55 (VK55) was developed specifically to meet the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) requirement of a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of 0.40. It sits between VK70 and VK40 in the series, delivering 58% VLT, 59% total solar energy rejection, and 96% infrared rejection — measurably better heat rejection than VK70 while maintaining a significantly higher visible light transmission than the darker VK40.
