Daytime Privacy
V 18 SR CDF - Dual Reflective increases exterior reflectance in daylight, helping street-facing Philadelphia glass feel more private without blocking the view from inside.
V 18 SR CDF is a high-privacy dual reflective film with a clear daylight presence. Its 18% VLT makes rooms visibly darker and gives the exterior a more assertive reflective character, but the dual reflective design keeps the interior side more usable than a standard reflective film after dark. It is for clients who want the glass to read protected and private.
Philadelphia applications include Fairmount Avenue commercial glass, street-facing rowhome windows, restaurant frontage, small offices, and mixed-use corridors where foot traffic is close to the window line. It can also suit spaces with severe west exposure where lighter dual reflective products do not provide enough glare control or daytime separation. Because it changes the glass so clearly, it is best reviewed on the actual elevation rather than selected from specs alone. It is also useful where interior blinds are closed most afternoons, because the film can reduce the need for that constant workaround.
The specs list 18% VLT, up to 78% heat rejection, and over 99% UV block. That combination delivers a major reduction in brightness and heat gain, with substantially more daytime privacy than V 28 or V 38. Because the tint is strong, sample review is important for residential rooms, historic facades, and any glass where exterior appearance is tightly controlled.
Choose V 18 when the project needs assertive privacy but V 14 would be more mirror-like or dark than the client wants. V 28 is the softer privacy step, V 38 is moderate, and V 48 is subtle. V 18 is the strong dual reflective specification for busy Philadelphia streetfront glass.
V 18 SR CDF - Dual Reflective increases exterior reflectance in daylight, helping street-facing Philadelphia glass feel more private without blocking the view from inside.
Lower interior reflectance makes the room less mirror-like after dark than standard reflective films, a practical difference in high-rise and restaurant glass.
At 18% VLT, it cuts visible glare and rejects solar heat for conference rooms, storefronts, and west-facing facades.
