Dual Direction Fade
Gradient film that fades from frosted at both edges to clear in the center — a balanced, symmetrical glass treatment for Philadelphia commercial interiors.
About Dual Direction Fade
Dual Direction Fade films from the SOLYX® Gradient Fading collection produce a gradient that runs from frosted opacity at both the top and bottom edges of the glass panel toward a clear center band. The effect is visually balanced and symmetrical — a treatment that looks designed to be centered on a glass surface rather than directional in one particular way. The clear center band allows light and views through the middle of the glass while the frosted edges provide privacy at the most behaviorally sensitive zones.
For Philadelphia corporate interiors with full-height glass partitions — the kind found in major Center City offices, University City research buildings, and professional services firms throughout the central business district — dual direction fade creates a visual rhythm across a run of glass panels that is more refined than a standard single-direction treatment. When multiple adjacent panels carry the same dual gradient, the frosted bands at top and bottom create horizontal visual lines across the glass wall that feel architectural in scale.
Dual direction fade is also effective in Philadelphia residential settings where a window spans from floor to ceiling and the occupant wants privacy near the floor (preventing ground-level sightlines from outside) and privacy near the top (reducing solar dazzle from a high sun angle) while maintaining an unobstructed center zone for the primary view. This configuration is common in modern condo units in Center City towers and newer construction in Fishtown and East Passyunk.
Dual Direction Fade films are available in standard heights of 60" and 71". Custom configurations are available through the SolyxIQ digital print platform. Films block 99% of UV and apply to interior glass.
