Clear 4 Mil is Madico's entry-level safety film specification — 82% visible light transmission and 4 mil thickness — designed for Philadelphia applications where glass retention is the objective but the glass appearance must stay unchanged. On existing retail storefronts along Chestnut Street, school entry vestibules in North Philadelphia and West Philadelphia, and ground-floor office windows facing active pedestrian corridors, Clear 4 Mil provides passive protection without the visual signature of tinted solar films.

The 4 mil thickness helps retain glass fragments in place after breakage, reducing the dispersion of shards and delaying forced entry through the treated glass.
