Huper Optik Clear Shield is a 4-mil transparent safety and security film designed to hold glass fragments in place after impact. It installs on the interior surface of existing glass — storefront panels, door sidelites, school windows, government building facades, and residential entry points — without changing the look of the window. From outside, treated glass looks identical to untreated glass.

For Philadelphia schools, government buildings, museums along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and retail storefronts on high-traffic commercial corridors, Clear Shield provides a passive glass retention layer that works continuously without requiring power, maintenance, or behavioral changes from building occupants. When glass breaks — from a storm, an accident, or attempted forced entry — the film holds the fragments in a coherent pattern that slows penetration and reduces laceration risk.
