At 85% visible light transmission, it reads as nearly invisible on existing glass — the patented dual-layer Titanium Nitride (TiN) ceramic coating works underneath the surface, rejecting 42% of infrared radiation and blocking 99% of UV rays without the darkened look that makes preservation boards and HOA committees push back on window film.

What makes Klar 85 worth specifying isn't the heat rejection alone (though 32% total solar energy rejected is meaningful for a film this light). It's the signal safety. The 100% metal-free TiN construction leaves Wi-Fi, GPS, cellular, and smart-home systems untouched — a real concern in Center City offices running dense wireless infrastructure and Fishtown rowhomes where connected thermostats, cameras, and locks depend on clean signal paths.
